CBA PAC
What is the CBA PAC?
A Political Action Committee, or PAC, is a voluntary association of members who combine their resources to support political candidates who support the banking industry’s issues. A PAC is a legal means by which interested individuals with common goals band together for political purposes. CBA PAC is the PAC of the Colorado Bankers Association. CBA PAC is comprised of two Political Action Committees sponsored by the Colorado Bankers Association: one sate PAC for state candidates and one federal PAC for federal candidates. CBA PAC exists for the express purpose of pooling banker resources. The pooling of banker resources means that we can give more substantial political contributions than individuals alone, and more importantly, Colorado bankers can be recognized as the source of support.
As a banker you are in a business that’s welfare and future depends largely on decisions made by elected officials. Important banking issues are debated regularly in Denver and Washington, D.C. A strong Political Action Committee allows banks and bankers to join together and educate legislators about the issues concerning banks and their customers. In short, the CBA PAC expands bankers’ political influence.
CBA PAC makes direct contributions to candidates seeking election for state and federal office, who believe and have demonstrated their beliefs in the purposes, principles and missions of Colorado bankers. CBA PAC bolsters CBA’s legislative initiatives with political action funds. In this way, CBA PAC plays a crucial role in advancing the banking industry.
