BOULDER, COLO. – June 17, 2020 – The Graduate School of Banking at Colorado (GSBC) in April launched GSBC Cares: A Virtual Education Experience as a service to the nation’s community banks amid the COVID-19 pandemic. GSBC is proud to report great success with its initiative and is currently planning additional virtual programming to fit the needs of the nation’s community banks.

GSBC Cares, delivered by GSBC faculty members and staff via Zoom Video Communications, includes virtual learning series, CEO roundtable discussions and virtual networking opportunities.

Since April 30, 2020, GSBC has educated 600-plus community bankers and regulators among its four webinars. The webinar attendees alone represent more than 300 organizations in 37 states. Additionally, through its roundtable discussions and virtual networking offerings, GSBC Cares has facilitated new and old connections among 138 GSBC and Executive Development Institute for Community Bankers® (EDI) students and alumni.

David Greenwell, executive vice president and chief credit officer of Town & Country Bank & Trust Co. in Bardstown, Ky., who is a 2019 GSBC EDI graduate, states,

“The support shown by the GSBC faculty and staff with the hosting of a series of roundtables and webinars has been invaluable and much appreciated. The content is relevant and an incredible resource in tackling the new challenges we are facing in community banking. It is reassuring to know that the support of GSBC follows you after your program is complete.”

GSBC Cares webinars are available to all GSBC constituents – students, alumni and their colleagues, at no cost to the bankers’ institutions. To get involved with GSBC Cares, visit www.GSBColorado.org/GSBC-Cares
