Fed: CFPB supervision doesn't hurt banks' mortgage lending

Banks aren't discouraged from making mortgage loans because of oversight by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, according to a Federal Reserve report. The report also says banks subject to CFPB examinations are less likely than other financial institutions to make risky loans. Read more.
