Senate banking committee hearing shows great divide

The divide between Democrats and Republicans on regulatory relief was apparent during a Senate banking committee hearing with financial regulators. Democrats said regulators appointed by President Donald Trump were weakening bank oversight, while Chairman Mike Crapo, R-Idaho, said last year's legislation to relieve some banks of burdensome regulation was increasing lending.
