Bankers support repeal of small business loan data collection rule

The Consumer Bankers Association is backing a bill by Rep. Roger Williams, R-Texas, that repeals a data collection rule for small business loans. The rule is part of the Dodd-Frank Act that has not been implemented and "the result of these new requirements would not have been better information, but less credit for small businesses on Main Street," said Richard Hunt, Consumer bankers association president and CEO.
