As part of its ongoing efforts to streamline its regulations, the FDIC this week proposed to rescind prompt corrective action rules transferred to the FDIC from the now-defunct Office of Thrift Supervision. The proposal would also amend the FDIC’s existing rules governing PCA orders to clarify that they apply to all banks for whom the FDIC is the primary federal regulator. Comments are due by Oct. 28. Read the proposed rule.
